# Calendars and Contacts Management
# Overview
The *Calendars and Contacts Management* interface allows you to display, create, delete, and rename calendars and address books.

# The Calendars and Contacts Management table
The *Calendars and Contacts Management* table displays the following columns:
* *Name* — The name of the calendar or address book.
* *Type* — The type of the calendar or address book.
* *Description* — A description of the calendar or address book.
* *Actions* — The available actions to perform on the calendar or address book.
# The Collection Editor interface
Use the *Collection Editor* interface to create, delete, or rename calendars and address books. In this interface, a [collection](https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-base/cpanel-product/cpanel-glossary/#collection) is a set of either events in a calendar or contacts in an address book.
## Create a new calendar or address book
To create a new calendar or address book, perform the following actions:
1. In the *Calendars and Contacts Management* interface, click *Create*. The *Collection Editor* interface appears.
2. In the *Collection Type* menu, select *Calendar* for a calendar or *Address Book* for an address book.
3. In the *Collection Name* text box, enter a name for the calendar or address book.
4. If you selected *Calendar*, the *Color* button appears.
1. Select the *Color* button. A color palette appears.
2. Select the color for the calendar.
5. Enter an optional description in the *Description* text box.
6. Click *Submit*. The [*Calendars and Contacts Management* table](https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/email/calendars-and-contacts-management/#the-calendars-and-contacts-management-table) appears, along with a success message. The new calendar or address book appears in the table.

> Note
> When you create an email account, the system creates the default calendar and address book. You **cannot** delete the default calendar or address book.
## Delete a calendar or address book
To delete an existing calendar or address book, perform the following actions:
1. In the [*Calendars and Contacts Management* table](https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/email/calendars-and-contacts-management/#the-calendars-and-contacts-management-table) , find the calendar or address book you want to delete.
2. Click the trash can icon

In the *Actions* column.
1. A confirmation window appears. Click *OK* to confirm the deletion.
2. The [*Calendars and Contacts Management* table](https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/email/calendars-and-contacts-management/#the-calendars-and-contacts-management-table) appears, along with a success message. The deleted calendar or address book no longer appears in the table.

## Edit a calendar or address book
To edit an existing calendar or address book, perform the following actions:
1. In the [*Calendars and Contacts Management* table](https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/email/calendars-and-contacts-management/#the-calendars-and-contacts-management-table) , find the calendar or address book you want to edit.
2. Click the pencil icon
in the *Actions* column. The *Collection Editor* interface appears.
1. Perform one or more of the following actions:
* Enter a new name for the calendar or address book.
* Select a new color for the calendar.
* Enter a new description for the calendar or address book.
2. Click *Submit* to submit the changes.
3. The [*Calendars and Contacts Management* table](https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/email/calendars-and-contacts-management/#the-calendars-and-contacts-management-table) appears, along with a success message. The updated calendar or address book appears in the table.
